River's Roost Riverfront Cabin

River's Roost is the only cabin actually in the Red River Gorge and on the Red River.  No other cabin in the area is this close to the Red River and hiking trails.  The front deck overlooks the river 30' below.

River's Roost is a rustic, but modern cabin with a bathroom, shower, TV, WIFI, free high speed internet and heat and A/C.  

Like all cabins in the area, water is supplied by a well and has a high iron content .  While we drink the water, we recommend that you bring drinking water.  Using the water for washing and showers is fine.  But all well water should be considered non-potable.

There is a queen and twin bed in the loft, and a full-size futon on the main floor.  Freshly washed and neatly folded linens and blankets are provided along with towels and pillows.

The kitchen has a 2-burner cook-top, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker and full-size fridge.  All the dishes, flatware, pots and pans needed to prepare and serve a meal are provided. 

The cabin can accommodate up to 5 people.  One well-behaved dog is allowed, but please clean-up after them. 

 There's a fire-pit and a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal).  Wood can be gathered or bought from our boat rental business.  Under the cabin is a porch swing facing the river.  

Bring your own kayaks!  Cabin guests get a 10% discount on our boat rental services at nearby Mill Creek Lake. 

Other than our home, which is located across the road and about 120 yards from the cabin, there are no other nearby occupied cabins or other structures in the area.
